New beauty service primps on site for a cause.

Entrepreneur and California attorney Shirley Sheene Day found a way to merge a passion for beauty with devotion to the nonprofit community. After spending eight years working closely with organizations and enabling them to attain tax exempt status through her firm, Paint My Charity, Day founded Glossifly—a new on-demand beauty service that offers hair, makeup, facials and massage. A portion of revenues will be used to provide complimentary on-location beauty services to women in need, including breast cancer patients, the handicapped, elderly, abuse victims and those in financial difficulty. Glossifly (stemming from “gloss on the fly”) brings beauty on-demand in the comfort of the home, hotel room, office, party or any location of choice. Skilled “Glossiflyists” beautify women whenever and wherever they are, according to the company. Users can simply download an app or set up an appointment online at www.glossify.com. Select a look, appointment date, and location then get ready to be glammed, dolled up and pampered. “Beauty lies in the dichotomy: It needs to be affordable yet appear luxurious and priceless, attainable, yet irreplaceable and unique. That is Glossifly,” said Day. Prices for services range from $40 for a blow out to $85 for a massage. At press time, locations include Los Angeles, California, New York and San Francisco Bay Area. Glossify premiered at the trendy Grafton Hotel on Sunset in West Hollywood recently, and Day hopes that famous faces will boost the good word on her project. “Celebrities who lend their support to this unique venture will empower women from all walks of life to find strength in beauty,” she said. “Our mission is to help all women tap into their own unique beauty, to realize their own potential through looking and feeling good about themselves.” More info: www.glossifly.com
